Tucson Dodgeball - one solid site

Now this is a dodgeball team of dedication: Tucson Dodgeball. I have been emailing a bit back and forth with the manager Steve, and I just wanted to give them some props for a Web site well done.

It is chock full of information about the team, plus some awesome videos and photos of their regular games, tournaments, and a trip to the big tournament in Las Vegas.

Keep up the great work, Tucson Dodgeball!

Fall Dodgeball Registration Open in NYC

A bulletin I received:

"PartyDodgeballNYC Fall Registration is NOW OPEN

Hey everyone, great season and just wanted to let you all know registration is now open for the fall and considering we already have 5 NEW TEAMS already signed up (not to mention the 14 we have already been informed will be back), this season is going to be ridiculous. Make sure to secure a spot ASAP considering we can only have 28 teams. In addition, the BEACH PARTY is being set up now for late July and you will all be receiving an invite for that as well....see you all soon!!"

Dodgeball Tournament this Saturday in California

I posted about this upcoming tournament before, but I just wanted to take the opportunity to remind you and include the flyer this time. It says: "Boys, Girls, Music, Beer, Sun." Uh, go!!!

Dance Party Vietnam's Free Dodgeball Tips

One of my favourite dodgeball team names of all time: Dance Party Vietnam.

Testosterone flies at pick-up dodgeball in Maryland

This is a great article in a local paper about the popularity of dodgeball in suburban America.

Some Friday nights, as many as 100 teens show up at a recreation center for drop-in dodgeball for just $5. Some tout it as an alternative to drinking, Nicky Nicky Nine Doors, and other various riff-raff those darn kids get into these days.

It truly is a great testament to the word-of-mouth popularity of dodgeball spreading among young adults in America.

Brooklyn Pool Party with Dodgeball

What a fun idea: a pool party, a la NYC block party style.

JELLYNYC ("an inter-media collaborative specializing in creating one of a kind experiences for our audiences and partners") throws these "pool parties", complete with bands and, of all things, dodgeball.

It looked like a blast.

I grabbed this photo, and read about this event, at New York Press, an alternative paper online.

Outdoor Beach Dodgeball Tournament in Toronto

My dodgeball league, Toronto Sport and Social Club, is holding another beach dodgeball tournament. But this time, it's going to be held outdoors. Hopefully it won't rain.

The Motrin "My Pain My Game" Outdoor Canadian Beach Dodgeball Championships gives your team the chance to win up to $5,000 on Saturday July 21 at The Docks, a popular entertainment complex off Cherry Street south Lakeshore Blvd East. It's easily accessible by the highways.

So far only three teams are registered, but if it's anything like previous events, the event should be an action-packed success.

There will be an on-site bar and restaurant, plus free parking (often unheard of downtown!).

This is the third beach dodgeball tournament held. The first ones were held in the spring of 2006 and 2007 in an indoor beach volleyball complex in north Toronto.

Upcoming AZ Dodgeball Tournament Gets Local Press

If you read my blog, you may have already read about this upcoming Great American Dodgeball Bash tournament coming up on June 30, brought to you by the boys over at AZ Dodgeball.
